Render Tab Guide

The Render tab controls scene rendering options, including ground effects such as shadow, mirror, and grid, as well as face coloring, color palettes, and reset color functions for model visualization.

1. Ground

1.1 Function

Toggles the ground plane display in the 3D viewport. When disabled, all ground-related effects (Shadow, Mirror, Grid) are turned off simultaneously.

1.2 Operation

Click the Ground toggle button to enable or disable the ground plane. The viewport refreshes immediately to reflect the change.

2. Shadow

2.1 Function

Displays a shadow cast by the model onto the ground plane to enhance depth perception.

2.2 Operation

Click the Shadow toggle button to enable or disable the ground shadow. If the ground plane is not currently active, it is enabled automatically. The viewport refreshes immediately.

3. Mirror

3.1 Function

Displays a mirror reflection of the model on the ground plane.

3.2 Operation

Click the Mirror toggle button to enable or disable the ground mirror effect. If the ground plane is not currently active, it is enabled automatically. The viewport refreshes immediately.

4. Grid

4.1 Function

Displays a reference grid on the ground plane.

4.2 Operation

Click the Grid toggle button to enable or disable the ground grid. If the ground plane is not currently active, it is enabled automatically. The viewport refreshes immediately.

5. Face Color

5.1 Function

Applies a custom color to individual faces of a model. The pick mode switches to face-level selection during the command.

5.2 Operation

  1. Click the Face Color button. The pick mode switches to face selection; hovered and selected faces are highlighted in red.
  2. Click a face in the 3D viewport to select it.
  3. In the color picker dialog that opens, choose the desired color and clickOK. The selected face is updated to the new color.
  4. Click the button again or press Esc to exit. The original pick mode and highlight colors are restored.

6. Color

6.1 Function

Applies a uniform color to all selected models and their sub-components.

6.2 Operation

  1. Select one or more parts in the 3D viewport.
  2. Click theColor button. A color picker dialog opens.
  3. Choose the desired color and click OK. The color is applied to all selected models and their children. Any previously set face-level colors on those parts are cleared.
  4. The operation supports undo.

7. Color Palettes

7.1 Function

Automatically assigns a distinct random color to every part in the assembly, making individual components visually distinguishable.

7.2 Operation

Click the Color Palettes button. The engine traverses all parts in the assembly and applies a unique random color to each one. A progress indicator is displayed during the process. The operation supports undo.

8. Reset Color

8.1 Function

Restores the original colors of selected models, removing any colors or face-level color effects that were applied manually.

8.2 Operation

  1. Select one or more parts in the 3D viewport.
  2. Click the Reset Color button. A confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Click OK to confirm. The original material colors of the selected parts are restored, and any face-level color effects are removed.
